Cookie policy

The INPM website uses a small number of cookies from Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. These cookies do not identify you, are not combined with patient records and are not used for advertising. Google Search Console sets no cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and the website still works.

This policy explains how the website of Integrated Neurology & Pain Management (INPM) at inpmclinic.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It complements our website privacy policy. How we protect your medical information as a patient is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site recognize your browser on later visits, for example to count how many different people visit a page. Cookies cannot read files on your device, and the ones on this website do not contain your name, contact details or any health information.

Which cookies does this website use?

Strictly necessary

None. The website works fully without cookies: pages, phone links, maps links and forms do not depend on them.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

A few first-party cookies that count visits and show which pages are read, in aggregate. Details are in the table below.

Advertising

None. We do not use advertising cookies, Google Signals or ad personalization, and we do not sell or share information for advertising.

Social media

None. Our links to LinkedIn and Google are plain links; nothing from those networks loads on our pages until you click.

Google Analytics cookies

CookieSet byWhat it is forHow long it lasts
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes one browser from another, so visits can be counted2 years
_ga_<container-id>Google AnalyticsKeeps track of the current visit (session)2 years

Browsers may delete these cookies sooner if you do not come back to the website. Durations are Google’s defaults and may change; Google lists its current cookies in its Google Analytics cookie usage guide.

How do we use Google Analytics?

Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, helps us understand how the website is used: how many people visit, which pages they read, how they arrived and what kind of device and browser they use. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website, for example to make important pages easier to find.

  • We do not use it to identify you
  • We do not combine it with patient records
  • We do not use it for advertising, and Google’s advertising features are turned off
  • Google processes the data under its own privacy policy

Please do not type medical details into the website’s email form; that information is not needed and is not collected for analytics.

And Google Search Console?

Google Search Console shows us how the website appears in Google Search: which searches lead to our pages, how often they appear and how often people click. It works with data from Google Search itself, sets no cookies in your browser and does not tell us who you are.

How can you control cookies?

  1. Your browser

Every major browser lets you see, block or delete cookies in its settings, and to browse in private mode, which deletes cookies when you close the window.

  2. Google Analytics opt-out

You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits on any website.

  3. The website still works

Blocking or deleting cookies does not affect how this website works. You can still read every page, call us and find our offices.

Does this website respond to “Do Not Track” signals?

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so this website does not change its behavior when it receives one. You can use the options above to block analytics cookies instead.

Changes to this policy

If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and the date shown on it. For any question about cookies or privacy, contact our Privacy Officer, Cezanne Bianco, at (707) 980-6636 or at 301 Lennon Ln, Suite 203, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
